Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage includes live text of the weekend matchups on multiple platforms, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Also, audio coverage is available through select stations for a separate game (from 21:00 BST).

We're in the sixth week of the football calendar , after last week's talk regarding two top teams as a potential Super Bowl match-up, each lost their unbeaten records.

Striking during those contests was the amount of infractions each conceded. The Eagles did so at crucial times meaning they kind of defeated themselves having led 17-3 entering the fourth period against Denver, set to play in London this weekend.

But it proved positive to observe how Denver's QB the rookie managed to have the shortfall and then direct three successful possessions on three possessions in the fourth quarter, to win the victory 21-17.

Denver boast the top defender in cornerback their star corner. They are number one in goal-line defense, whereas Philadelphia lead the league in scoring near the end zone, yet Denver won that battle.

They had the Eagles' number in terms of simulated pressure. They did not necessarily sending extra pass rushers but they might plug two LBs in the 'A' gap before drop them out and send a nickel from the outside.

At the start of the season, it was noted on a program that the Broncos could be the current year's surprise contenders. They ended the previous year well and did a good job in continuing that momentum.

Could Denver be this season's underdog story?

Recently acquired tight end their tight end has excelled big while new running back their rusher is a guy they believe in. He's currently fifth in the NFL for rushing yards (402) as well as tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).

It's impressive how head coach Sean Payton has "RUN IT!" at the top on his call sheet.

This demonstrates how the Broncos represent a team that wants to prioritize the run, since one can achieve much off the back of that. It reduces opposing rushes and keeps you in positive situations.

This has helped QB Bo Nix, who came into the league as a first-round selection last year, throwing 29 touchdown passes – second only to Justin Herbert in rookie records (31 back in 2020).

Other elite QBs possess powerful arms to throw anywhere, however they lack in the same way as Nix. He boasts exceptional arm talent, which is different, and he is so athletic.

His assets are his movement, the capacity to pass on the run, and using varied release points to deliver throws when he rolls out of the pocket, on rollouts. He is able to throw that layered pass over the middle or past defenders.

For a young quarterback, at 25, he's got a lot of poise under pressure and isn't really fazed by the blitz. He tries to avoid being tackled whenever possible and is able pass under pressure. He has sharp intelligence and remains very decisive.

If you consistently run the ball it consumes time and forces the opponent to stay on the field for longer, and when you've got a mobile QB the defence has to cover the field vertically side to side. It can be exhausting.

The quarterback has bitten back at Payton on the sideline at times and I think Payton appreciates that attitude, that he's such a competitor. I think it's fun for him to coach a rookie QB that is similar to moldable clay. The coach can truly build something up the way he desires to build it. I think it's a special experience for the coach.

The head coach owns a Super Bowl and now passed a legend for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed it all. I think the achievements the Broncos are experiencing on offence is mostly due to his guidance, his play-calling, his situational awareness – and the pairing with Nix helps make him what he is.

There's no better a more qualified person guiding you, to help you during difficult moments and boost self-belief.

I believe in Denver's defence, in the QB's grit and calm. But are they strong enough to go against an elite team at full strength? Since that wasn't championship-level play from Philadelphia in their last game.

Right now, it's unlikely the Broncos are elite. They're working above average, which is a solid position to be in the AFC West. The key is to continue this path.

They excel at embracing their strength, which is running the ball, and that's exactly what they must do versus the New York Jets in London. It's going to be a Dobbins-focused game, in essence.

The Jets have surrendered 140 yards on the ground each contest (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (in the bottom ten), and they are the only team yet to win any game.

Ever since the league began tracking takeaways in 1933, the Jets are the inaugural squad to be without a single takeaway in five outings, which is surprising when you think that their new coach Aaron Glenn a defensive coach at the Detroit Lions.

The Chiefs' QB stated Kansas City are off to a poor start after Monday's defeat by the Jaguars.

Following this Sunday's game, the Broncos face a smooth-ish schedule until their break (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and the Raiders before the Chiefs.

Looking at their division, the Chiefs are 2-3 while Denver are even with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 so they could challenge for the top of the West.

It depends on which form Kansas City shows up they meet because the Broncos {beat|def
