Two Men Face Charges Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack

Formal charges have been brought against two men following a suitcase robbery where a believed to be pepper spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.

The charges follow an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after exiting a car park lift, police said.

A young child was caught up in the incident in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were later discharged.

This event – described by police as was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
