That Gory Animated Movie Ending That Haunts Viewers

Out of every mature cartoon movies I have personally viewed, no other has remained with me as much as the dread-soaked conclusion of a graphically gory and highly provocative film from 2022 Unicorn Wars.

In 2015’s, this Spain-based writer-director crafted a grim, melancholy and often savage universe with some tiny , forlorn hints of hope.

Although The Unicorn Wars seems like it came from a drive to push the medium further, the filmmaker explained that it was rather an attempt to express a widespread, multicultural theme regarding “the mutual source of every conflict.”

That message is conveyed by means of a band of brightly hued teddy bears , openly modeled after a popular series of cuddly characters.

Maturing in a culture built around militarism as well as the military-industrial complex, numerous these creatures are fixated on slaughtering the mythical beasts, due to a sacred text that claims them they previously were masters of the woodland, before the unicorns expelled them.

Others did not entirely accepted the brainwashing, , would rather experiment with narcotics or mate in the forest.

In contrast to their gentle counterparts, these vivid animals display genitals and clear libidos.

For one especially vicious, skeptical animal, the character Bluey, the war against the unicorns becomes a road to control — and especially to supremacy above his gentler, nicer brother the bear Tubby.

Bluey acts as a tormentor , a seeming antisocial figure , and while terror takes over his group and claims his fellow soldiers sequentially, he seizes progressively influence personally, through ever more gory, harmful methods.

At the same time, the unicorns are enduring their own horror, through a spreading, destructive monster in their forest.

“In the early stages, it appears as a humorous movie,” the director commented. “However it turns into a more intense and sad movie. And ultimately, it transforms into a terrifying movie.”

The Unicorn Wars begins similar to one of the more whimsical features from an iconic filmmaker, that discover a mischievous joy in letting drawn beings swear, engage in violence, or engage sexually.

Afterward it evolves into something more like a more grim work from the same creator, with increasingly visual gore and a noticeable connection to the actual horror of conflict.

In the finale, it becomes a full-on extreme drama bloodbath.

The fear that turns the film a Halloween-friendly movie begins much sooner than that description suggests.

The Unicorn Wars is one for the most dedicated gorehounds, for enthusiasts of graphic films who want to watch something they have not seen on-screen before, and can endure a plot which delivers absolutely no punches.

View it in a dark room with no disturbances, and the conclusion will burrow under your skin and stay with you.
