The families of teenagers missing after a deadly fire at a bar in a Switzerland's ski resort are enduring an excruciating wait for answers and appealing for clues about their children online.

The blaze devastated the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of New Year's Day. Confirmed footage reveal the roof structure igniting as bottles with fireworks are held aloft.

Officials have indicated that it could take an extended period to identify the victims of the disaster, which claimed the lives of numerous partygoers and wounded another 119. Authorities noted on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been accounted for, with the process still underway to name the final individuals.

In the meantime, relatives have been posting on online platforms to request information about their missing relatives who were at the bar that fateful night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For
