David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.

The comedian

Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

A spokesman for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an investigation into reports of questionable actions involving young women.

The firm has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."

A Prolific Literary Career

Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Several of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, including a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

A Dual Career

His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
