Week 10 again delivered, with a huge upset for the Buffalo Bills demonstrating the 'any given Sunday' mantra that attracts so many people into the NFL

That result could have created things up for the New England Patriots to move back into a top spot they used to occupy, with a remaining games that gives them an advantage over their 8-2 competitors

Meanwhile in the NFC the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had ideal outcomes to arrange a major confrontation in week 11, while our top performer is chasing records as well as the Most Valuable Player award

The Breakdown - Just a Bad Day for Buffalo?

Josh Allen in action
Was Josh Allen attempt too much or could it simply have been a poor performance for Buffalo?

Was it just an emotional comedown from beating the Chiefs last week or a deeper issue? That's the question for the Bills to answer

The Bills had secured seven victories in a row against the Dolphins but were outperformed from the beginning as the Dolphins emerged as 30-13 winners in an eye-opening outcome - and display

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only got the team's opening first down in the third quarter and initial scoring in the fourth - yes Miami had ten days to get ready but it was nonetheless a significant failure produced by one of the league's best offenses

Dolphins quarterback Tua passed for two touchdowns but running back De'Von Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 total yards and two scores

Containing the league's best rushing attack was crucial too, with James Cook and teammates recording just 86 yards, their lowest of the year and just over half their 161.5-yard average

Additionally there were the three crucial ball losses, and the pair from Allen in particular. An interception in the end zone resulting in a nine-minute possession produced nothing, and his fourth-quarter dropped ball that the Dolphins converted to seven points just two plays

It was typical 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, falling into a hole on defensive side and Josh Allen trying to overcompensate to rescue his squad out of it - rather than the composed, disciplined, well-balanced Bills we've seen this season

Miami have demonstrated a bit of everything this year so the jury's out on whether this is the beginning of something, but for the Bills they'll need an instant response in a tough game against Tampa Bay next week as the Patriots are sneaking into a nice lead at the top of the American Football Conference East

In Focus - Patriots See Path to Surprise Top Seed

Speaking of the Patriots, they're one of three different 8-2 teams in the league, all AFC sides, but are they the best?

One could find flaws in New England, the Broncos and the Colts actually for dominating the weaker opponents, with just five of their total twenty-four victories coming against opponents with a positive record - and one example was the Colts beating the Broncos

The Broncos defeated the champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are masters of the fourth-quarter while Indianapolis can rely on Taylor, but the New England including Sunday's victory in Tampa to their prime time success in Orchard Park appears to be a declaration

Their two defeats occurred in recently appointed coach Vrabel's initial three games, with seven straight victories, just like Denver, from that point - but defeating Baker Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a bye to prepare was huge

Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials won't go away, and he certainly earns credit for bravery after absorbing some hard tackles in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to guide his team to victory

The defensive unit is reliable and first-year rusher Henderson exploded on Sunday with 147 yards and two exciting touchdowns of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - establishing himself as just the fifth ball carrier to break 22mph this year on his initial touchdown

Although you can argue who 'the best' is technically, the Pats should be favorites to finish with the top record thanks to their remaining opponents - which features just one game against a winning team, although a significant contest against the Bills

Traveling to Baltimore is challenging too, but the Broncos have it more difficult in the AFC West with the Kansas City to face two times, the Chargers (who might also challenge for top seed but encounter the identical challenge) and also the Packers on the fixture list

The Indianapolis also play the Kansas City, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two games with the 5-4 Jaguars to face. There's a considerable distance to go but the opportunity is available for a shock top seed in the American Football Conference

Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Prepare for Next Week Clash

Both squads with strong arguments to be superior to all of the three different 8-2 sides are National Football Conference West rivals the Seattle and Los Angeles, who each put up 40 burgers to reach 7-2 before the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster game between the two in Los Angeles

Both have won four in a row, have signal callers in Matthew Stafford and Darnold performing at an elite level (although Sam Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with top receivers, and defensive units giving up fewer than twenty points a game

Both could easily be undefeated as well - especially the Los Angeles as their pair of losses occurred in extra time against the 49ers and then that agonising loss in Philadelphia when they had a potentially winning kick with the last kick deflected and run back by the Philadelphia for a touchdown

The Seahawks were also defeated to San Francisco, with a last-minute score in the opening week, before falling to the last kick of the game against the Buccaneers - so they are genuinely two of the best sides in the league

The upcoming game on Sunday could be the most exciting of the season so far

Player of the Week - Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor could be on for a record season after his remarkable performance in Berlin - running for 244 rushing yards, registering three scores and adding another forty-two {receiving yards
